How much Faith do you have? Some Faith, More Faith or Great Faith?

Two words for wanderers; faithless and unfaithful. The faithless people of Israel forgot their first love. They lost their passion for service. Though they once enjoyed a close relationship with their Maker, they turned from Him rejecting truths they once held dear. And so they struggled just beyond the safe harbor, battered by the seas of uncertainty.

Unfaithful Judah, by contrast, knew the truth but denied it's footing in the nation's heart. An unfaithful man may say that he is on God's side, but his actions, words and priorities prove otherwise. By God's measure an unfaithful person ranks with a traitor - wicked and treaterous. Why? Because he mocks the very relationship he pretends to honor. Simply put, he pretends to be a believer, while deep down he is a phony.

For the unfaithful, faking love for God can become an addiction. We all know people who have the right moves. At church they pray with immpressive sincerity, but at home they shred their spouses with cruel comments. This inconsistency is like a ten-foot long fingernail screeching across God's chalkboard. It grates on the soul.

The unfaithful float through life life, sinning without shame. They're in the most dangerous place immaginable. There life hangs in the balance. Unless they reestablish their bond with God, replacing showiness with sincerity, the will be damned.

Faith and Unfaithful

The unfaithful float through life life, sinning without shame. They're in the most dangerous place immaginable. They hang in the balance. Unless they reestablish their bond with God, replacing showiness with sincerity, the will be damned.

The Faithless and the unfateful - the Bible holds out hope for both. For the former, however, the journey to the savior seems shorter, more direct. Sometimes the faithless can learn to trust more by admitting their doubt. The remedy is simple. Return to the Lord. Stop wandering and come back to the King and your Lord.

If God is calling you to make an important move or a difficult decicision, rest secure in the knowledge that if your next step aigns with His last step, you will be more likely to align as well.

UNSTOPPABLE FAITH

On April 13, 1970, the crew members of Apollo 13 found themselves marooned 200,000 miles from Earth. During a routine task, one of the spacecraft's four oxygen tanks exploded. For the next four days, astronauts Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise worked against all odds to bring their wounded ship back to Earth.

People around the world prayed for for the trio's safe return. Each time the engineers at NASA resolved one problem, another took it's place. But a little unstoppable faith and a lot of sweat eventually worked wonders. After four long days, Apollo 13's parachutes opened to lower the spacecraft gently back to earth and safely into the Pacific ocean.

NASA's astronauts and engineers put their faith in science and engineering and maybe an emergency cry to God for help.

Nearly two thousand years earlier, four friends of a paralized man demonstrated simple and sincere faith in God. Think of what they did! They carried their disabled freind for miles, destroyed part of a total strangers house and risked the wrath of an angry Jesus. But amazingly, when Jesus saw their unshakable faith, he said to the stricken man, Son, your sins are forgiven Mark 2:5 - This amazed everyone and they praised God saying, "We have never seen anything like this".

CONCLUSION

Spiritual battles are like climbing mountains. For God told us; with the faith of a mustard seed, we can move mountains. Read Matthew 17:29, Mark 11:23 and Luke 17:6.

Truthfully, I thought that I was a man of God, but I was not. Today, by the the Grace of God I am a better man. Tomorrow, I will be even better. Every day it's my routine to thank the Lord for all that I have experienced yesterday and what I will do today when I wake up. By having gratitude first thing, it sets the tone for a new day. I also found that it takes action and not just words for real tranformational change to take place. Remember John 3:16, for God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that we may be forgiven of our sins and have eternal life.

Everyone makes poor choices, I certainly have, but I learned from my mistakes. I pray that you find enlightenment and motivation in this post. If required, take action now and start completely enjoying the journey that God has planned for you. Become grateful, put God first above all else and enjoy what life and God have freely offered. Having a close relationship with the Lord, accepting Jesus as my Savior and role model has helped me tremendously.
