Your Journey is not about getting to the finish line first, your journey is about becoming who you truly are, not about how you are compared to others.
Having grown up in southern California and trying to keep up with the "Jones" was a way of life for me. Having the fancy car, desireable home with a white picket fence and makinf good money was all important. I desired much and I cared about what other people thought about me. Today, I am a much different person.
As my journey moves forward, by the grace of the Lord, I see life much differntly. I celabrate my wins, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. I know that every step is that much closer to that of success. Did you know that the great minds of our times experienced failure. However, they didn't give up.
I have fallen from grace in the past, made poor choices and now I don't make the same mistakes over and over again
I desire that you don't compare yourself to others. Making the same mistake repeatedly is referred to being "Insane". It's okay if you have done this don't worry, I did. Edison once said that he didn't fail, he found 10,000 reasons to try something new.
With clarity, comes wisdom. So, the next time you face a challenge, pause and remind yourself, what's the worst that could happen and how would you handle it? You can handle it with dignity knowing you're ready for whatever comes your way.
The Process to Create a Life that is Meaningful
Every day list three things you are grateful for and tell someone. Celebrate your wins. Ask yourself, does this thought benefit me or is it holding me back? Does this help me grow, or is it stealing my joy? Practice gratitude. Create a life that is meaningful to you. Set achievable goals. Reframe mistakes and turn them into opportunities. Ask yourself what did this teach me? Create a life free of distractions. Focus on yourself. Set clear goals, identify them and learn to say No.
In Conclusion
You are a gift from God. Own that you are. Try not to own other people's opinion of you. Find a mentor, be open to change, use mindfulness and prioritize your energy. Starting a journal is a good way to document the changes in your belief's and experiences. Focus on what you can control and what you can't cannot control. Let go of ego, be willing to learn and grow. If nothing changes, nothing changes. You hold the power to make life what you desire.
